October – the year is mellowing and poetry is fruiting, thanks to a lot of very hard graft from poetry event organisers, poet-performers and their generally attentive and appreciative audiences.
October events cover areas ranging from SE16, through SE1, SE19, SE4, SE24 to SE10. They range in content from an art and poetry installation inspired by a local railway station to a readings at the London Literature Festival on the South Bank, and a modern retelling of the Ramayana – using light show technology -composed by the poet Daljit Nagra
