Live Canon’s Winter Poetry Treasure Hunt: Closing date 31 December
An e-treasure hunt through the back canon of English poetry… You can join online from anywhere in the world…
Each day in December you get an email identifying a poet and linking to selection of their work online. Also links to filmed performances, and audio recordings… (If joining after 1 December you will be sent earlier emails so you can catch up.)
You are asked to find answer to a clue in the poems from each email. You need to gather all 30 clues. On the last day – New Year’s Eve – you need all 30 answers to answer the last clue.
If you miss a day, you can catch up easily over a day or two during weekend or holiday time.
Entry fee £10. Can be done as team with families or friends. The proceeds go to the good cause of work on poetry in schools. Please also let others know about the competition if you can.
