“Writing on a Wall”
 
Eltham Arts are inviting entries to this competition on the theme of “What do walls mean to you?”. Whether you think “Something there is that does not love a wall” or agree with Robert Frost’s opponent that “Good fences make good neighbours”, you can express yourself in poetry to this southeast London community and creative project.

Amnesty Blackheath and Greenwich Group Book Sale

This huge 2nd hand book sale is justifiably popular – always a queue of people waiting to get in when doors open. There is a wide variety of bargains to be found, from second-hand paperbacks to recent review copies.

This is an Amnesty event so – if interested – you can find out about their work to protect human rights worldwide and can choose to sign petitions for current  campaigns.
